NewsJack Pe?ate plays intimate iTunes festival gigJack Pe?ate played an intimate gig in London last night (July 27), at the Institute of Contemporary Arts venue, as part of the iTunes festival. The festival sees a gig a night happening at the venue throughout July. Pe?ate began the show with crowd favourite 'Spit At Stars', spitting into the air twice for effect. After performing 'Got my Favourite', Pe?ate risked the wrath of iTunes, who were recording the gig for later release. "Being the tame artist I am, I don't have an explicit sticker on my album," he said. "But I'm going to swear, so iTunes have to put an explicit warning on this recording, and I can be Dr. Dre for the day. Fuck bastard cunt." During 'Made Of Codes' Pe?ate slung his guitar behind him and performed his famed side-step dance routine, but slipped over half way through. "That's the first time I've fallen on stage!" joked the singer. He went on to sing the praises of his support act, Jamie Woon. "My voice is like a cornflake compared to his, which is like smooth chocolate," he said. As well as crowd favourites 'Spit At Stars' and recent single 'Torn On The Danceloor', Pe?ate performed a cover of 'Dub Be Good To Me' by Beats International, and the opening verse of Sam Cooke's 'Wonderful World'. Hanson guitarist hospitalised ?anson guitarist Isaac Hanson was hospitalised in Texas yesterday (October 3) after complaining of severe chest pains following a performance in Dallas the previous night. Hanson, 26, the eldest member of the Hanson brothers band, was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism, which occurs when a blood clot enters the lungs. He is currently being evaluated by doctors at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas. The band issued a statement saying they will make an announcement about the status of their US tour once doctors have completed their evaluations. |
